Abstract: The geogrid reinforced stone column is analyzed by using limit equilibrium theory.Results show that the rupture plane as expanding break is located at the depth of about (1～3) radius of stone column due to the nonlinear distribution of lateral pressure and axial force. The geogrid increases the bearing capacity of stone column remarkably.
