摘要: 优势面理论是工程地质问题或岩土工程问题的一种新的研究观点和模式。本文介绍了区域稳定性的优势面理论分析方法,该理论认为优势断裂控制了区域稳定性。文中提出了确定优势断裂的四项基本指标,对区域稳定性的评价原理与方法以及相应的专家系统也做了介绍和讨论。

Abstract: The theory of the preferred plane is a new model for engineering geological or geotechnical problems. In this paper, the preferred-plane theory and its methods for regional stability analysis are put forward. It indicated that the preferred fault exerts an overwhelming.control to the regional stability and there are four fundmental indices determining the preferred fault. For regional stability assessment, the corresponding principles, including earthquake engineering analysis, and expert system (REPP)are discussed as well.
