Abstract: A  nonlinear  creep  soil  model  which  is  based  on  laboratory  creep  test  results  is  proposed  in  the  present  paper.    Finite  element  analysis  for  this  nonlinear  creep  soil  model  is  developed  and  numerical  analsis  is  carried  out  for  a  deep  excavation  project.    The  measured  results  compare  favourably  with  the  numerical  results  which  suggests  that  this  new  model  can  be  used  for  practical  case.
