Abstract: The mechanism of uplift abnormality within dam section 3 of Xinanjiang hydropower station is studied on the basis of results from regression analysis, discharge rate decay and numerical analog analysis. As a conclusion, it could be stated that the uplift abnormality within the research area is only a local phenomenon, which will not influence on the stability of dam.
