细粒含量对新疆典型粗粒混合土力学特性影响的试验研究

    Experimental study on the influences of content of fine particles on mechanical properties of typical coarse-grained mixed soil in Xinjiang

    • 摘要: 新疆山前洪积区广泛存在粗颗粒混合土,容易遇水湿化变形并引发工程病害。为明确粗粒混合土的力学特性随细粒含量的演化规律,对吐鲁番地区典型粗粒混合土开展了一系列三轴固结排水压缩试验。研究结果表明:①粗粒混合土的峰值偏应力随细粒含量的增大而降低,应力-应变曲线由应变软化形态逐渐趋于应变硬化;②粗粒混合土的内摩擦角和表观黏聚力随细粒含量的增大而降低,表观黏聚力衰减速率大于内摩擦角;③粗粒混合土固结后的孔隙比随细粒含量的增大而降低,但由于最大干密度亦增大,反而使其相对密实度降低;④所有土样均表现为先剪缩后剪涨,剪缩量随细粒含量和围压的增大而增加,且围压对于试样体应变的影响在细粒含量较高时更为显著。研究结果为进一步明确新疆地区不同初始状态下的典型粗粒混合土的力学特性提供了有效参考。

       

      Abstract: Coarse-grained mixed soil exists widely in the diluvial area in front of mountains in Xinjiang, and collapse deformation is easily induced to cause engineering diseases when encountering water. A series of triaxial tests are carried out on the typical coarse-grained mixed soil in Turpan area in order to determine the evolution of mechanical properties of coarse-grained mixed soil with the content of fine particles. The results show that: (1) With the increase of the content of fine particles, the peak partial stress of the typical coarse-grained mixed soils decreases, and the stress-strain curve gradually changes from strain softening to strain hardening. (2) The internal friction angle and cohesion of mixed soil decreased with the increase of the content of fine particles, while the attenuation rate of cohesion is higher than that of internal friction angle. (3) After consolidation, the pore ratio of mixed soil decreases with the increase of the content of fine particles, but the maximum dry density increases instead, resulting in the decrease of the relative compactness. 4) The evolution of bulk strain of all soil samples exhibits shear shrinkage followed by shear expansion, and the shear shrinkage increases with the increase of the content of fine particles and confining pressure. The influence of confining pressure on the bulk strain is more significant under higher content of fine particles. The research results provide an effective reference for further determination of the mechanical properties of typical coarse-grained mixed soils in different initial states in Xinjiang.
