含粉土质砂碎石土大型直剪试验

    Large-scale direct shear tests on silty sand gravel soil

    • 摘要: 通过改变混合料中5 mm以下的颗粒含量,开展了含粉土质砂碎石土的室内直剪试验,研究了碎石土的剪切特性及其抗剪强度参数与砾石含量间的变化规律,以及粗细颗粒间含量的对比变化对粗颗粒骨架作用的影响。研究表明:由于组成碎石土的粗细颗粒间含量的变化造成了细颗粒对粗颗粒的包裹作用,导致5 mm以下细料含量越高,混合料的最小最大干密度越低。为充分反映土样剪切应力与剪切位移的关系,当前下剪切盒比上剪切盒长20 mm的剪切位移量不太适应高细粒含量碎石土的直剪试验,应将允许剪切位移量进一步增加至60 mm以上。随着5 mm以下颗粒含量的增加,细颗粒对碎石的包裹作用逐渐越强,粗颗粒骨架以较大距离悬浮在细颗粒中而难以发生相互作用,碎石的骨架作用减弱,从而导致不同法向应力下的剪切应力均相应降低,反之5 mm以下颗粒含量的减小则会导致碎石含量的增加,从而使细颗粒对碎石的包裹作用减弱,不同法向应力下的剪切应力则相应提高。粗细颗粒含量的变化,影响了粗颗粒的骨架作用,进而对碎石土的抗剪强度产生作用。碎石土的强度是粗细颗粒相互作用的结果。

       

      Abstract: By changing the content of particles below 5 mm in the mixture, the indoor direct shear tests on silty sand gravel soil are carried out. The shear characteristics of gravel soil and the variation laws between shear strength parameters and gravel content are studied as well as the influences of the content of coarse and fine particles on the skeleton effects of coarse particles. The results show that the change of the content between the coarse and fine particles of the gravel soil causes the wrapping effects of the fine particles on the coarse particles, resulting in the higher the content of the fine materials below 5 mm, the lower the minimum and maximum dry densities of the mixture. In order to fully reflect the relationship between shear stress and shear displacement of soil samples, the shear displacement of the lower shear box is 20 mm longer than that of the upper shear box, which is not suitable for the direct shear tests on gravel soil with high fine content. The allowable shear displacement should be further increased to more than 60 mm. With the increase of particle content below 5 mm, the wrapping effects of fine particles on gravel are gradually stronger. The skeleton of coarse particles is suspended in fine particles at a large distance and it is difficult to interact with each other. The skeleton effects of gravel are weakened, which leads to the corresponding decrease of shear stress under different normal stresses. On the contrary, the decrease of particle content below 5 mm will lead to the increase of gravel content, so that the wrapping effects of fine particles on gravel are weakened, and the shear stress under different normal stresses increases accordingly. The comparative change of the content between coarse and fine particles affects the shear strength of gravel soil by affecting the skeleton effects of coarse particles. The strength of gravel soil is the result of the interaction between coarse and fine particles.
