Summary on the Failure Griteria and Yield Functions

Many suggestions have been put forward abort the failure criteria and yield functions for engineering ma-terials in the past30 years,and are summarized and categorized in this paper according to their shapes in π-planeand in meridian plane,It is the anthor’s opinion that the further study in this field is already not necessary.
