Total Protein Content in Soft Soil and lts Application to Engineering Geology

The paper discusses the relation between organic matter and the total protein content in soft soil and brings to light the interrelation of the total protein content with the components,physical and mechanical property of soft soil.It has been shown by the application to the Caotangbin section of the Shanghai-Nanjing Freeway that the evaluation of engineering properties of soft soil through the total pro-tein content can further meet the needs of the engineering design.
