Engineering geological properties of soft rock are described briefly.The mechanism and staticborizontal pressure of pressuremeter test of soft rock are discussed.Methods for determining criticaledge pressure and bearing capacity of foundation are presented.Data of pressuremeter tests in soft rockcollected from practical engineering projects are analyzed by statistics. Development of pressuremetertest of soft rock are sugested.
