    Study on Friction Character between Soil and Reinforcement in Reinforced Earth Retaining Wall

    • Based on the shear tests in the laboratory and the pull-out tests in the field, it is shown that the shearing character between soil and reinforcement can be represented by the Mohr-Coulomb envelope. It is suggested that adhesive force betwween soil and reinforcement should be considered in the design of reinforced earth retaining wall. It is also pointed out that for sake of safety,reasonableness and economization of reinforced earth construction, the method of prediction based on laboratory testing shouldbeused,
