Study on Modulus of Subgrade Reaction for Lateral Loaded Piles in Multiple Layered Foundation

More Information
  • Published Date: January 21, 1988
  • According to the field data of Lateral loaded steel piles at home and abroad, an empirical formula for evaluating, modulus of subgrade reaction under static loading in layered soils was proposed. Suggestel formula is taken account of not only nonli-nearity of Ks with the depth but also its variation with the loading. It was shown that computed bending moments along pile shaft and deflection occurred at pile top are consistent with the measured ones.
