The Criteria for Selecting Strength Parameters of Soils

The Problem of criteria for selecting strength parameters of soils is simply reviewed, and some factors influencing these criteria are analysed. The experiences gained in application of the relevant regulations or suggestions of the 《Standard of Soil Tests》 (SDS 01-79, China) are discussed too. At last, some recommendations concerning this problem in the triaxial compression test are presented.
