Discussion on Calculating Dynamic Resoponse of Soils Using Rayleigh Wave Characteristics

    More Information
    • Published Date: May 23, 1996
    • Based on the energy distribution law of Rayleigh surface wave in soils, the borizontal propagation wave in soils is simulated using the first model wave of surface wave and the vertical propagation wave is simulated using semi-infinite elements in this paper. The availability and accuracy of the presented method in this paper is verified by numerical examples. The result calculated by the presented method is compared with that calculated by transmitting boundary method. The sensitivity of coefficient  is discussed.
