  • Based on the theory of nonlinear FEM and theory of reliability, the nonlinear stochastic FEM isdeveloped, and the formulas are presented in the paper. Furthemore a program is developed for reliability analysis ofnonlinear structures. As an example, the reliability analysis of gravity dam is discussed with consideration of bothnonlinearity in material and randomness in parameters.
