In this paper the behaviours and mathematical models of stress-strain relationships of loess during different period of formation are discribed. Then the behavious of deformation parameters of loess and their laws of variation are studyed. Finally, the results of the calculated settlement of loess foundation are analyzed and compared. The analyses indicate that the nonlinear elastic increament method of calculated settlement of loess foundation with parameters of triaxial test is reasonable.
