Abstract

In this paper, the factors influencing the earth pressure on tunnel in loess and the influence of these factors on earth pressure are analyzed on the basis of the data of earth pressure obtained in the field measurement by using the method of successive regression. And an empirical formula is presented for evaluation of this earth pressure. The author hopes the paper will be helpful to the designers and the researchers in this field.
