    • The characteristics of salt-dissolution and salt-heaving of plate-like saline soil are systematically studied on the basis of laboratory experiments. The results show that the plate-like saline soil is collapsible soil, and the coefficient of collapsibility increases with the increase of the salinity. The salt-heaving temperature is ahead of time as the sodium sulfate content increases, and finally the salt expansion force has a great increase. As the sodium sulfate content increases, the intensity salt-heaving range is closer to the intensity sodium sulfate precipitation range. The salt-heaving can be restricted by a certain load. All the above shows that in engineering practices of the plate-like saline soil, we must pay attention to the environmental characteristics and take some appropriate treatments.
