Aiming at the effect of geologic defects on dam foundation and abutment,the creep character of geologic defects and its variation rules are thoroughly studied.Base on such a basis,a normal and tangential creep deformation model is established.The model reflects the instant elastic deformation,attenuation creep,lagged recoverable deformation and un-recoverable creep deformation of the geologic defects.Engineering cases have indicated that the present creep analytic model perfectly reflects the effects of geologic defects on dam characters.
