In consideration of stresses relation between over-consolidated soils and normal consolidated soils,the effect of unloading on major stresses was analyzed.Then the difference between loading and unloading shear strength was given.Evolution of shear strength of soils at different depths was also discussed,and the calculation procedure for unloading shear strength of soil was found finally.
