Abstrcat:According to the mechanism and seepage character of PVD in the sand drain foundation,a FEM formula of 3D PVD element was proposed,and it was edited in the 3D Biot program.The comparison was done between the PVD element FEM,general FEM and Hansbo solution.The results show that PVD element FEM can simulate the application of PVD in the sand drain foundation.
