Ring beam retaining structure was supposed as space frame structure with pile and ring beam by introducing the 3D pile element and the 3D curved beam element. Based on the supposition, a 3D finite element analysis model was proposed and a program was developed to compute the structure in this style. The computation and analysis of practical engineering case show that the present method is rational and valuable in theory and practice.
