Application of geosynthetics-reinforced sand blanket to settlement reduction of soft ground

    More Information
    • Published Date: November 20, 2003
    • Four types of reinforced sand blanket were designed within the test embankment of 324 m in length based on the construction practice of the tirst express passenger line with Vmax≥200 km/h in china. Ground settlement, vertical compressive stress at the bottom of embankment, and tension stress in geosynthetics reinforcement were recorded after original soft ground were treated with geosynthetics-reinforced sand blanket.
