Slip-split failure of rock slope

The slipsplit failure of rock slope parallel to rock layers is a slipping pattern objectively existing in nature characterized by upper part shearing and slipping and lower part overturning. Theoretical formulae for analyzing stability of slipsplit failure are put forward and restrained conditions are discussed. The penalty function is used in optimizing method of searching the minimum factor of safety.
