Application of filter paper method in field measurement of matric suction

A device for field measurement of matric suction and its measured results are introduced in this paper. The results are compared with that from tensiometer method and SWCC, which illustrate that the device is simple and practical. The procedure of calibration and calibration curve of filter paper(Shuangquan brand)are also presented,and the influence factors on precision of the method are tested and analyzed in this paper. 
