Measurements and analysis on bolt stresses at a slope

More Information
  • Published Date: July 27, 2000
  • Based on the monitoring results of stress state of systematical bolts at temporary shiplock and boat lift slope of the Three Gorges Project, and combined with the geological condition around every bolt, the effect of excavation and temperature and timedependent deformation on bolt stresses is described. The control over temperature and timedependent deformation of rock mass by bolts is discussed, and the weakening of the bolting effects caused by the cyclics deformation in rock mass is also demonstrated in this paper.
