  • In this paper, a non|linear finite element analysis for soft cohesive ground under embankment reinforced by geotextile has been made to obtain the influence of interface strength between soil and geotextile on reinforcing effect, reinforcement effects for single and multilayer geotextile, etc. Some profitable conclusions for engineering project, such as optimum reinforcement layer number and stress dispersion effect of reinforcement cushion, have been obtained.
