Practical analysis of piled raft foundation considering ultimate capacity of piles
The approach for analysis of single pile with Geddes’ formulae is extended to piled raft foundation and “Cut-off” method for ultimate load is used to simulate soil’s ideal elastic plasticity. Comparison of observed settlements for a number of tall buildings in Shanghai has been carried out with calculated results, which proves its feasibility and practicability for the analysis of piled raft foundation.
