Modified Brandt’s elastic theory for porous granular media and skeleton elastic wave velocity of water saturated soils

The Brandt’s elastic theory for porous granular media is modified by a term in that its volume modulus is identical to that of BiotGeertsma’s theory. A new way to calculate the skeleton elastic wave velocity is suggested. Some effect of physical parameters on elastic wave velocity are discussed.
