    Design of beam type reaction system for static plate load tests

    • The static plate load test has been widely used in engineering practice due to its accuracy. The major types of the reaction system for static plate load tests are summarized. Based on the theory of Euler- Bernoulli beam, the design method for beam reaction system is proposed, which provides a strong basis for the design and construction of the beam reaction system. Based on the finite element software Abaqus, the response of the beam subjected to the static loads is analyzed. The safety, effectiveness of the beam type reaction system for static plate load tests are validated.
