Application of semicircle inner-bracing in demolition process of excavations in soft soils

The idea of semicircle inner-bracing during the demolition process of excavations in soft soil is introduced. Taking a deep excavation in Tianjin for an example, design and calculation based on this idea are performed. The feasibility of this idea is confirmed through the monitoring data and the calculated results. Actually, the proposed method can ensure the construction of the excavation, save project time, and achieve good project efficiency. It may provide a reference for similar projects.
