Abstract:
This project is a large box mat foundation (long 686 m) with complex load, and there isn't mature experience in computation of its deformation. In course of construction, the design theory of the foundation and the field measurement of its behavious are concerned by the project organization and the law of deformation of the foundation are found out. After the engineering put into production in recent years the results of the field measurement proved that the theoretical calculation is consistent with engineering practiae.In this paper some brief explanation on the assumption of the theoretical calculation are given, such as consideration of the interaction of the earthground with the foundation and the correction of rigidity in the settlement computation, adopting the assumption of approximate calculation in parts, the application of the theory of Winkler elastic foundation and the analysis of the calculation of all length foundation etc.
Abstract:
Rock mechanics experiments, especially those for determination of rock deformation characteristic, are deeply affected by the stiffness of a testing machine. In order to reveal the true mechanical properties of rock, some steelbars parallel to the specimen are used to increase effective stiffness of experiment system. Stiffness experiment system and load-displacement measurement system are designed for disc splitting test, and complete stress-strain curves of marble disc are obtained. Finally, some factor affecting experimental results are discussed.
Abstract:
According to laboratory tests and theoritical analysis a concept of unified equivalent harmonic wave loading is suggested and disscussed in this paper, which may be proved to be more reasonable and widely applicable in offshore foundation engineering. A proving test has also been completed, in which the random wave loading and the corresponding unified equivalent loading were respectively applied on soil samples. The test results show that the equivalent effect is satisfactory.
Abstract:
This paper, based on the data of field experiment of steel piles at Zheng-Kiang port, proposed a new method for analytic calculation and a new concept for the curves of the subgrade coefficient. It not only provides a practical method for studing sub-grade coefficient, but also has laid a foundation for studing the interaction of soil-pile structure by field data.
